Sheinelle Jones is trying something new … and she’s bringing fans along with her for the ride.
Back in September 2024, folks learned that the Today show host would be penning a book called Through Mom’s Eyes: Simple Wisdom From Mothers Who Raised Extraordinary Humans. Initially set to release in April 2025, the book’s publication date was pushed back as she took time off to care for her late husband, Uche Ojeh, whodied at age 45 from brain cancer in May 2025.
While it’s been a while since fans first heard Sheinelle’s big announcement, they’ll be thrilled to learn what’s next for this stage of Sheinelle’s career. Not only is Through Mom’s Eyes set to hit bookshelves on April 14, 2026, but the Today With Jenna and Sheinelle star will also embark on a multi-city tour from April 13 to April 20.
“Meet Sheinelle Jones on tour!” Today’s social team wrote on the Instagram photo sharing the announcement on March 23.
As soon as people learned about Sheinelle’s plans for how to promote Through Mom’s Eyes, they couldn’t help but applaud her for the venture.
“Yassss @sheinelle_o I’m just so proud of you,” one person commended in the comments. “So exciting!!! Congratulations!! I’ll see you in TX at Mom 2.0!” another cheered. “Yessss!!!” a different follower added.
The book’s official website says it is all about discovering the secrets to successfully raising children today. Tapping into celebrity moms’ insights and coupling them with her own journey, “Sheinelle reveals how to make it through the hard parts of motherhood and still tap into the joys of it with empathy, generosity, and solidarity,” the site notes.
“This was supposed to come out last spring, and the truth is my husband Uche got really sick while I was writing this and he pushed me to keep going,” she said during a March 23 taping of the Today show. “So I delayed this for a year after he passed because I wanted to be with him and the kids, but I promised him that I wouldn’t give this up.”
How heartwarming is this?
