Valerie Bertinelli’s son, Wolfgang “Woflie” Van Halen, celebrated his 35th birthday on March 16.

To mark the special occasion, Valerie wrote an emotional Instagram message about their relationship.

Throughout her time on social media, fans have adored how Valerie documents her sweet bond with her son, musician Wolfgang “Wolfie” Van Halen. And on March 16, the TV personality’s followers got to see her share the love again as she celebrated Wolfie (who she shares with late ex-husband Eddie Van Halen) turning 35.

Sharing moments from her son’s childhood on Instagram, Valerie noted that she misses the days of watching him grow up. But she also shared that she appreciates the time they spend together now, and he is the best part of her world.

“Our days of wrestling in the grass may be over, but looking over these pictures, one thing is incredibly clear,” she emotionally wrote in the caption. “Every day of my life has had more joy, more fun, more laughter, more meaning, more clarity, and more love because you came into it. The best day of my life was March 16, 1991, and every day since then has been pure magic. I love you to the moon and back. ❤️🌎🔁🌙.”

Shortly after Valerie posted her heartfelt message to her son, Wolfie responded with his own note.

“Love you Maaaaaaa ❤️❤️❤️,” he wrote back.

Valerie and Wolfie’s bond goes far beyond sharing cute throwbacks on social media. Valerie often accompanies Wolfie and his wife, Andraia Allsop, to various events, like when he was nominated for an Oscar for Best Song at the 2024 Academy Awards. The culinary expert also noted in May 2025 that she and Wolfie got matching tattoos as a permanent reminder of how strong their relationship is and continues to be.
