The 2026 Emmys took place on September 14 in Los Angeles.
Actor Tom Pelphrey won Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series for his work in Task.
Fans reacted to seeing Tom’s fiancée, Kaley Cuoco, break down in tears over his career achievement.
Tom Pelphrey just won big at the 2026 Emmy Awards—but it was his fiancée, Kaley Cuoco, who got emotional about it.
The longtime couple was at the Peacock Theater for the star-studded ceremony on September 14, where Tom snagged the trophy for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series for his portrayal of Robbie Prendergrast on the HBO series Task. As the actor’s name was called for the win, fans watched as Kaley broke down in tears in support of her fiancé.
In addition to Kaley, Tom mentioned their daughter Matilda, born in 2023, and the upcoming arrival of their second child.
“To my favorite actor in this room, my love, my best friend, my partner. The very pregnant Kaley Cuoco,” he stated in a clip posted on X. “I love you more than anything and our family is the crown jewel of my life. Matilda, daddy loves you! Baby girl in that belly, daddy loves you! Thank you, God bless.”
Fans couldn’t get enough of the couple after seeing Kaley’s reaction.
“That’s a man who knows the real prize is already sitting in the audience,” one person wrote on X. “Stop, Kaley Cuoco is pregnant?? I didn’t know and she is so proud of him; I am cryingggggggg. Congrats, Tom Pelphrey,” another penned. “Doesn’t get better than that speech!!” a different follower added.
When Tom previously spoke about taking the job on Task, he noted that Kaley convinced him to do it.
“[Kaley] said it’s one of the best episodes of TV she ever read,” he stated to CBS Mornings back in September 2025. “Two, she said, did he write it for you? And three, and you guys are helping me fulfill this in the moment, she said, you better tell people what I thought when I read it.”
We love this for them!
