Coven Academy star Tiffani Thiessen talks about acting at 52.

In an interview with Good Housekeeping, the actress shared how being at this stage of her life changed her outlook on Hollywood.

Tiffani Thiessen is getting candid about being in the spotlight in her 50s.

Since she first appeared in Saved by the Bell in the late 1980s, fans have seen Tiffani in Beverly Hills, 90210, White Collar, and other projects. Her latest gig is Coven Academy, airing Thursdays on Freeform and out now on Disney+ and Hulu.

As she told Good Housekeeping, Tiffani is proud to still be in the TV game.

“I find it very fortunate that I’ve been able to do it as long as I have,” she said on September 22. “When I was younger, I don't remember seeing a lot of movies with women who were 40 and 50. And because I was a huge Golden Girls fan, finding that those women were in their 50s and that's how they were being portrayed, right? I don't know a 50-year-old who looks like that—not one!”

She’s also grateful to have grown as a person and an actress in the spotlight.

“When I look at old pictures of myself from then, I’m not like, ‘Wow!’” she added. “It’s more like, ‘I really have lived a great life, and every single line of my face is a laugh or cry or memory that’s created it. And I’ve always felt like you lead by example, right? So I try to show my children and my husband that we respect ourselves, age gracefully, and accept the changes as beautiful.”

Tiffani married Brady Smith in 2005. They have a daughter, Harper, and a son, Holt.

She hopes her approach to aging reminds people that they can feel good about whatever choices they make for themselves.

“I do think it’s alright to embrace things that make you feel better too—if someone wants to go get some work done, good for them,” she concluded. “But I hope to God that I get to live to a great old age, and that I have every line on my face that tells a wonderful story. I’m OK with that.”
