The TV host has previously made cameos in movies and TV shows, his latest being a guest appearance on the HBO drama Hacks.
Al Roker is getting a head start on the holiday season with a role in an upcoming Christmas movie
During the July 23 taping of the Today show, Al and Dylan Dreyer were talking to comedian Alex Moffat, who was promoting his new romantic comedy, Love on Tap. During the conversation, Dylan mentioned that Unbearable Christmas would premiere in theaters sometime in late 2026.
“You’re in a holiday movie,” Dylan teased in a clip posted on Instagram. “Al is actually in this movie also!”
“I have a small part,” Al replied with excitement about the new gig.
Alex teased a little more about the role.
“We’ve shared a scene!” he added.
“That’s right, a little bromance there,” Al responded.
“Yes indeed. That should be the name of the movie!” Alex said. “They messed it up by calling it Unbearable Christmas.”
Al has appeared in plenty of other film and TV projects over the years.
According to his official IMDB page, Al made a guest appearance in a season 5 episode of the HBO comedy series Hacks! He also voiced the part of Al Hunter in the PBS educational series Weather Hunters back in 2025.
Congrats, Al—we’re going to keep an eye out for this!
