Bravo announced that Next Gen NYC season 2 will premiere on June 24, 2026.

Fans learned in May that Brooke Shields’ daughter, Rowan Henchy, will join the show as a new cast member.

Brooke opened up about Rowan’s latest gig on the Today show on May 20.

Brooke Shields won’t be the only member of her family on TV—and the star has a lot to say about it.

Back in May, fans of the actress were surprised to learn that Brooke’s daughter, Rowan Henchy (whom she shares with her husband, Chris Henchy), would be joining the cast of Bravo’s Next Gen NYC for season 2. While the new season isn’t set to premiere until June 24, Brooke, who is currently starring in You’re Killing Me for Acorn TV, spoke about her daughter’s new career move on the Today show on May 20.

As Brooke revealed to Jenna Bush Hager and Sheinelle Jones, she had mixed feelings about Rowan being part of Next Gen NYC. But she also noted that she has faith in her daughter’s choices—especially as Rowan takes on this new challenge.

“Oh, I was sick to my stomach,” Brooke revealed in a clip posted on Instagram. “And I said, look, don’t be a —up. You know what I mean? Don’t. Be the one, be the voice of reason. You’re going to be fine.”

“She wants to be in broadcast journalism, but she also likes being on camera,” Brooke added about Rowan. “So I said, see if you can translate that into another opportunity. And it’s a business choice that you’re making. But you know, bad behavior is not the goal, and, you know, this should be a stepping stone of some kind. But it’s given her a lot of confidence in a way that it’s so nice to see.”

When fans saw how Brooke reacted to Rowan’s TV debut, they commended her outlook.

“@brookeshields is a phenomenal person and such a great mom. Looking forward to seeing @rowanhenchyy create her own opportunities and thrive 🙌🙌🙌,” one person wrote in the comments. “Congratulations are in order on Rowan’s news,” another penned. “Great job, Mom 👏,” a different follower added.

Rowan graduated from Wake Forest University in 2025 with a degree in communications and a minor in journalism, according to Bravo. While Rowan often documents her life on Instagram and TikTok, she didn’t expect to join a reality show.

“Post grad took bit of a turn,” she wrote alongside a cast announcement on May 11 on Instagram. “See you June 24 👀 #nextgennyc @bravotv.”

Well, we’re certainly looking forward to Next Gen NYC—and we can only hope Brooke will make a cameo!
