- Starbucks is bringing back its Unicorn Frappuccino for Coachella 2026.
- The drink will be available exclusively at Coachella for a few hours each day of the festival.
- In addition, Starbucks will offer three complimentary drinks for festivalgoers.
Matcha may be Starbucks' current darling, but there was a time when Frappuccinos were all the rage. A trip to the mall wasn’t complete without a stop at Starbucks for a whipped, blended concoction that tasted like a milkshake but somehow contained coffee. It was THE thing to get for teens and young adults alike.
But like most trends, Frappuccinos had their time in the sun and their time in the shade. Now, Starbucks is bringing them back into the spotlight with the return of its Unicorn Frappuccino Blended Beverage. It was a Starbucks secret menu drink and a former 2017 menu item, known for its eye-catching colors, surprising mango flavor, and pink-and-blue sour swirl.
The drink is tied to this year’s Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, taking place April 10-12 and April 17-19, 2026, where Starbucks is an official sponsor. According to a recent press release from the brand, the beverage “mirrors the creativity and individuality celebrated across the festival grounds,” making it an ideal fit for the California pop fair.
The Unicorn Frappuccino will be served at the Starbucks Coffeehouse at Coachella for a few hours each day of both festival weekends. Alongside it, Starbucks will offer a rotating lineup of complimentary drinks, including Cold Brew, Iced Matcha Lattes, and Strawberry Açaí Refreshers. Ready-to-drink (RTD) Starbucks beverages will also be available for purchase at concessions throughout the festival.
The catch? The Unicorn Frappuccino will only be available at Coachella, not across Starbucks locations nationwide. If you already have your ticket booked for the event, make sure to stop by for a drink break, especially amidst California’s desert heat.
That said, given the buzz surrounding its return, we wouldn’t be surprised to see the Unicorn Frappuccino pop back onto menus again—if only as a limited-time treat.
