The 4th of July is one of the biggest holidays of the year, and especially this year, with the country celebrating its 250th birthday, everyone’s going to go all out.
There will be a ton of yummy sides to make, drinks to blend and decor to shop for. And one place that's usually a one-stop shop for everything you need for holidays is Costco. Seriously, there's nothing you can't pick-up on a Costco run.
But is Costco open on July 4th?
Costco is closed on Saturday, July 4, 2026. In fact, Independence Day is one of the few major holidays that Costco observes. The good news is that most locations will be operating during normal business hours on Friday, so if you need something, it's best to go then.
However, if you've completely waited until the last minute (hey, we're not judging!) and you're in need of a July 4 party tray or red, white, and blue desserts for your guests, you're in luck. Retailers such as Giant Food, Kroger, Publix and Whole Foods are open during the July 4th holiday. Just make sure to call ahead and confirm the hours of operation.
