I’ve spent a lot of time (and money) on outdoor Halloween decorations over the years, striving to make my yard extra-special for all of the adorable trick-or-treaters. Lately, my decor obsession has been creeping indoors, too—and I haven’t been able to stop thinking about this unique tabletop Halloween Countdown Haunted House. Mark my words: It’ll undoubtedly become the star of my Halloween decor this year.

Automatically Lights One Window Per Day

Halloween Countdown Haunted House

Besides being a sight to see, it’s a countdown to Halloween. But unlike some advent-type calendars you’ll find, this one is unique in that the entire mansion is a light show. Once you set it up and turn it on, a window illuminates one day at a time until you reach October 31. (Spoiler alert: The front door light is saved for Halloween!)

The house also comes with a remote control and timer, the latter of which keeps track of which day you’re on—and only turns the lights on for six hours each day (a nice option if you don’t want it to stay lit long after you’ve gone to bed).

I love so many of the details; where do I begin? First of all, per the brand, it’s made of plywood, not plastic. And the chimney, roof, and shingles are textured for a realistic look. It’s aptly decorated with ghosts, bats, spider webs, pumpkins, and cats, along with orange LED lights to light each window.

Standing at 19 inches tall, this creepy château is a fun way to count down to Halloween, but I also think it makes a great centerpiece at a Halloween party. It’s probably too big for your fireplace mantle, but it’s an easy fit for an entrance table or dining room sideboard.

Below, there’s plenty more where this haunted mansion came from—from a skeleton pillow and zombie hands with lanterns to a giant hairy spider to greet guests at your front door.
