Now that Memorial Day weekend is just a few days away, summer feels closer than ever. What I look forward to the most this season are the calm afternoons with friends, hanging by the pool, and grilling burgers at each other’s apartments.
Luckily, early Memorial Day deals are in full swing, and I’ve already spotted a few cleaning and cooking appliances on sale. They’re perfect for summer hosting—including a grill and smoker in one, a viral at-home ice cream maker, and even a smart electric pizza oven.
Lots of the below come from this year’s GH Kitchen Awards, and others have been tested and recommended by our pros at the Good Housekeeping Institute. You can already save nearly 50% on our very favorite products, all beloved by experts at our labs.

Listen, $60 for a good portable carpet cleaner is a great deal—and this little guy really does the job. This Dirt Devil pick was named among our top-tested carpet cleaners for its strong cleaning performance, user-friendly design, and ability to tackle tough stains like grape juice and chocolate.
The pros at the GH Kitchen & Cooking Lab liked the compact size of this Cuisinart coffee maker, along with the fact that it has a built-in grinder. You can also use compatible pods, like K-cups, if you’re in a hurry.

One of my favorite things to do is make pizzas at home, or even gather with friends for pizza-making parties. This pizza oven can be used indoors and outdoors, and it has an easy-to-use control panel. Our pros found that it made charred and crispy pizzas on their first try.
The GH Home Care & Cleaning Lab named this the best overall vacuum after testing, praising its HEPA filter for allergy sufferers, ability to convert from upright to handheld, and the brush roll system that helps minimize pet hair clogging. And beyond seeing a discount, at the time of writing, I found an extra $70 coupon on the Amazon listing (bringing the price down to $280)!

Our tester loved how the versatility of this grill and smoker could cook more food quickly than a traditional grill. It’s a full grill that uses both gas an electricity, and you get an internal fan along with the smoking feature. Also, it earned a spot in this year’s GH Kitchen Awards.
