My cat’s favorite new pastime is sitting near the TV and watching YouTube videos of birds flying and frolicking in the wilderness. He’s an indoor cat, so he’s yet to see his flying friends IRL (unless he’s looking out the window)—but I think that’s about to change.

This outdoor cat tent, which you can find on Amazon, gives indoor kitties a place to get up close and personal with wildlife without letting them roam throughout the yard. In other words, they don’t have to totally let their guard down in order to enjoy some fresh air and birdwatch.

This particular cat tent consists of two main sections: the tent itself (a hexagonal shelter with two doors that zipper open and closed), as well as a 10-foot-long tunnel that can be attached to the tent’s openings. If you’d rather use the tent and the tunnel separately, you can do that, too.

According to the brand, the unit is made with mesh that’s easy to clean, along with Oxford fabric that’s waterproof. The lining is black, but the vibrant edges are decorated with a rainbow design that’ll surely pop amongst the flowers in your yard.

What’s more, the tent comes with a carrying case that’ll let you transfer the unit no problem—whether you’re breaking it out on your patio during a breezy spring morning or your lawn during a family BBQ (because cats are family, too).

Apparently, shoppers are just as excited about the tent as their furry friends. One person wrote, “He’s an indoor cat who stares longingly out the window when we’re on the back patio, so I bought this enclosure to let him safely enjoy being outside with us. He absolutely loves it.” They continued, “He races through the tunnel, and we often put his bed inside so he can relax and enjoy the fresh air without any risk of running off.”

Other designs of this same tent are also available, like these two cube-shaped tents that connect via a tunnel, or even two cubes with three tunnels. It seems like the perfect way for cats to go bird-watching IRL, don’t you think?
