Given that it’s only May, it feels a bit too early for Halloween, but not for Disney. The Most Magical Place on Earth has already revealed the dates for Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party.
If you’ve never been to Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, it is a separate-ticket event at Magic Kingdom featuring shows like the Boo-to-You Parade and the Hocus Pocus Villain Spectacular, as well as special fireworks, trick-or-treating, and other Halloween-themed activities.
“You get to dress up in costumes (which adults normally aren't allowed to do in Disney World!), and my family gets into it,” says Lexie Sachs, Good Housekeeping’s Executive Director of Strategy and Operations, who is a big Disney fan. “My kids love trick or treating at the park. There are trick or treating stations throughout, and they are very generous with the candy, so by the end of the night, we have bag loads full.”
Here’s everything you need to know about the event.
Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party dates
In 2026, Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party will take place on select nights between August 7 and October 31.
Here’s the full calendar:
- August: 7, 11, 14, 18, 21, 23, 25, 28, 30
- September: 1, 4, 8, 11, 13, 15, 18, 20, 22, 24, 25, 27, 29
- October: 1, 2, 4, 6, 8, 9, 13, 15, 16, 18, 22, 23, 25, 27, 29, 31
It runs from 7 p.m. to midnight, but on its website, Disney World recommends getting a head start by entering the park at 4 p.m., three hours before the event starts.
Where and when to buy tickets
Tickets cost between $119 and $229 each—depending on the date you choose to visit—plus tax. Guests of select Walt Disney Resort hotels can purchase their tickets beginning May 5 on the Walt Disney World website. All other guests can purchase them beginning May 12 also on the site.
Guests of the following resorts may purchase them on May 5:
- Disney Resorts Collection hotels
- Walt Disney World Dolphin Hotel
- Walt Disney World Swan Hotel
- Walt Disney World Swan Reserve
- Shades of Green at Walt Disney World Resort
Additionally, Annual Passholders and eligible Disney Vacation Club Members can save $10 per ticket for select nights from August 7 to October 2, 2026.
Whether you’re a Disney fan, a Halloween fan, or a fan of both, Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party offers the best of both worlds. It’s the right amount of scary for kids, but also allows adults to join in on the fun—and it's limited capacity, “so the crowds for rides are lower,” says Sachs—making it a spooktacular way to celebrate witching season.
