• Hasbro has released Blooms by Play-Doh, a botanical Play-Doh craft kit for adults.
  • The sets cost between $25 and $40, and they’re for creators ages 8+.
  • Blooms by Play-Doh are available at Amazon, Walmart, and Target.

Calming pursuits, like knitting, cross-stitch, bird-watching, and adult arts and crafts are on the rise, with research showing these cozy hobbies can be an overall boon to mental health.

After all, crafts that keep hands and brains occupied, one 2025 review of studies shows, can contribute to overall improvement in symptoms like “anxiety, stress, depression, interest in life, self-efficacy, social skills, sociability, mood, well-being, self-esteem, life satisfaction, health-related quality of life, and hopelessness.”

With that in mind, Blooms by Play-Doh—which just launched on Amazon, Walmart, and Target—has arrived right on time.

Blooms by Play-Doh is the first line aimed specifically at adults (though the sets are appropriate for crafters ages 8 and up). And with the first wave of these aged-up kits, fans can make realistic-looking floral bouquets in different sizes and color palettes. (When news of these first hit the office, everyone was gushing over how nice they look—I predict our desks will all be adorned with Play-Doh flowers in no time.)

In order to make the flowers, the kit comes with different roller tools and other petal-making presses that can be used to make different floral shapes. The sets also come with a finishing spray, so the compound can be set and displayed in a vase. The smaller kits retail for around $25, while the bigger ones cost $40.

“It took a minute to learn how to set up the stand and to load in the colors,” says Shopping Editor Angel Madison, who got to do a hands-on demo at a launch event. “But once I got the hang of it, I made multiple flowers in a matter of minutes.”

Angel didn’t make this bouquet, but it won’t be a long before she can make masterpieces this lush.

“It was super nostalgic to sit and play with Play-Doh, and it reminded me a lot of using the old barbershop set I had when I was a kid,” she adds. “I also really like the colors that they have. The pretty pastels definitely feel more elevated than the primary colors I typically associate with Play-Doh.”

In addition to the main sets, there are also refill packs in daisy, peony, orchid, and lilac colors. (Hey, you might want to pick up a few of those anyway, just because they look nice!)

Right now, there are just six sets available: Meadow Flower, Garden Flower, Blush Flower, Bluebell Petite, Rosy Petite, and Wildflower Petite. Time will tell if they’ll be as popular as the LEGO Botanical sets, but I say the more floral, toy-based, de-stressing activities there are out there, the better!
