Outdoor gear has a way of taking over the garage, patio, and every spare corner in between. With gardening tools, pool supplies, and grilling accessories, there never seems to be enough storage space. That's where an outdoor shed comes in handy, and this affordable find proves practical storage doesn't have to be an eyesore.
We found this nearly 6-foot-tall cabinet on Walmart’s website, and its wooden cedar frame—which one shopper said smells “wonderful”—makes it look way more expensive than it is. The metal panels and black hardware help make it feel luxe, too.
Bonus: It’s on sale today at nearly 50% off, so you can get it for $170 (regularly $320). That’s way cheaper than most alternatives, which can often run into the thousands.
This particular shed is nice and slim at about 27 inches long and a little over 13 inches wide, so it offers vertical space without covering too much ground.
Inside the cabinet are three shelves, each of which you can remove and adjust according to your storage needs. Since the panels are made of metal, you can install magnetic hooks to hang lighter or longer items. And if you’re worried about security, the double doors have little magnetic latches and lock holes if you want to add a padlock.
The shed comes with a set of directions, and a couple of reviewers wrote that it took about a little over two hours to assemble.
It doesn’t seem eligible for pickup or delivery (at least not in my area), but it qualifies for free shipping, regardless of whether you’re a Walmart+ member or not. Standard shipping looks like three days’ time on my end, so you don’t have to wait long to start cleaning up the yard for fall.
