This Cape Cod-style cottage is like a backyard dream house that's sized just for them. It's made out of a sturdy plastic that's designed for the outdoors, but since this one is smaller than some of the others on this list, you can set it up indoors in a playroom to use during the winter months. Ages 2+
Yes, you can put a rollercoaster in your backyard. This one is designed to give your toddler and preschool-aged kids a little bit of a thrill, as they hop on a scooter that goes down a hilly slide. It's 9 feet long, but it comes apart so you can store it when it isn't in use. Note that the weight capacity is 50 pounds, per the brand. Ages 2-5
Avenlur's indoor adventure gym was one of our picks for a Parenting Award this year, but if you're looking for some outdoor fun, try the brand's compact backyard play set. It has a 4-foot slide, a tent fort, a "rock" wall, and a ladder for multiple modes of play. Ages 2-8
This set from Backyard Discovery won a GH Parenting Award in 2023, and while it is a bit of an investment, it's a 23-foot-long structure for non-stop activities for kids. The play set features a slide, climbing wall, three swings, a clubhouse, and a picnic table. Our testers said this was fun and easy to use, and that their kids returned to it over and over again. Ages 3+
If the larger Backyard Discovery set is too big for your space, you might want to consider a smaller option. This cedar wood swing set has a climbing wall, slide, shaded treehouse, and of course, swings. Ages 3+
They can have their own little shed with this sweet playhouse. It's got an elegant look, and even includes a play kitchen with a pretend sink and BBQ grill. There's also a window opening, so they can pretend to serve food right to the attached picnic table. Ages 3+
This set for preschoolers and younger kids can be used inside and outside, and it's ideal for the little sports fanatic in your family. It's got a climbing wall, slide, basketball hoop, and a goal they can kick balls through. Ages 2-6
For those kids who never seem to get enough time at the park, this play set will help them get their energy out without leaving the yard. There's a slide, bars, and multiple things to climb, including a rock wall and net. Ages 2-6
