It’s hard to imagine The Kelly Clarkson Show without Kelly Clarkson at the helm. However, there are times when the star steps away—and on February 27, viewers found out that Grammy Award winner P!nk would take over as guest host for the week of March 2, 2026.
“SURPRISE!” the caption read on Instagram. “P!nk is ready for a crash course in guest hosting!”
The news of P!nk guest-hosting came just weeks after Kelly announced The Kelly Clarkson Show would end after seven seasons, and it left fans with a lot of questions about the show’s future.
Is P!nk taking over The Kelly Clarkson Show?
As The Kelly Clarkson Show’s Instagram further confirmed with another post on March 1, P!nk will take over the NBC series as a guest host for the week of March 2, 2026.
Fans were thrilled by the prospect of seeing the singer step into a new set of shoes.
“I KNEW she would do this!!! Hahaha love it,” one person wrote in the comments. “Can you drop in every week from now on? ♥️,” another begged. “So what? She's still a rock star, she got the TV host moooves... 🤘🏻🙂↕️,” a different follower added, alluding to the lyrics from P!nk’s hit single “So What?”.
It’s important to note, though, that even though P!nk is guest-hosting The Kelly Clarkson Show, Kelly isn’t going anywhere just yet. She is expected to be back on the air the week of March 9, 2026, and she’ll continue hosting the series until it concludes in the fall of 2026.
Why is Pink guest-hosting The Kelly Clarkson Show?
Per a report from NBC Insider, P!nk’s guest hosting gig is part of the show’s initiative for Women’s History Month. As the outlet's statement indicated, P!nk's guest hosting “highlights the show’s dedication to celebrating women who inspire change, break barriers, and uplift one another.”
Kelly also has some thoughts about P!nk’s new role.
“The only thing that bums me out about P!nk hosting a week of The Kelly Clarkson Show is that I’m not going to be able to be there to watch her,” Clarkson said in an official statement to the publication. “I have been a fan for so long and have always been inspired by her music and her person. I love her!”
According to a source who spoke to Entertainment Tonight, the singer would love to take over Kelly’s role as a talk show host—and she’s already sharing thoughts on how to do it.
“P!nk really wants it,” the source said, per an official post on the outlet’s Instagram. “She has a million ideas that she’s been pitching the show's producers.”
Looks like we’ll have to wait and see!
