Daytime TV may be changing all the time … but Drew Barrymore isn’t going anywhere.
Ever since The Drew Barrymore Show premiered on CBS back in September 2020, people have continued to tune in to hear the actress talk about all things pop culture. Together with her co-host Ross Mathews and the show’s lifestyle expert, Valerie Bertinelli, fans get to watch Drew bring the A-list Hollywood sparkle to a weekday talk show.
While new episodes of The Drew Barrymore Show continue to air every weekday, fans were thrilled to discover CBS had a major announcement about the series. Sharing the news on the program’s official Instagram on March 9, viewers learned that The Drew Barrymore Show got renewed for not one, but two more seasons on CBS. Drew immediately expressed her gratitude on her Instagram story.
“I’m so grateful and so excited ❤️,” she wrote.
Naturally, fans were elated about the news regarding the future of The Drew Barrymore Show.
“We’ve been anxiously awaiting this news! Hooray! 🎉 Congrats to the entire Drew Crew 💛💛💛,” one person wrote in the comments.
“Yay! Best news!! So much sunshine ahead. I can't wait,” another cheered.
“Congratulations, guys! You deserve it and blessings! You're amazing and beautiful! Awooo! You guys should be proud of yourselves!” a different follower added.
Executive producer Jason Kurtz spoke with Variety, saying, “Drew is the original influencer—a true trendsetter and culture-driving force who has consistently stayed ahead of the conversation,” said Jason. “The success of this show is rooted in the fact that Drew shows up as her unfiltered, authentic self every single day, continually challenging the conventions of daytime television and reimagining what the format can be in a multiplatform world.”
