CIA fans, listen up.
The FBI spinoff, which stars Tom Ellis and Nick Gehlfuss as part of a joint CIA-FBI task force, has drawn a lot of attention since its February 2026 premiere. The two characters have different approaches to solving cases: Nick’s Bill Goodman lives by the book, while Tom’s Colin Glass often breaks the rules. The show got renewed for season 2 in March.
More recently, the show shared an Instagram clip of Tom and Nick goofing around together. (Fun fact—the video was filmed when the two visited the Good Housekeeping office earlier this year!) A text overlay revealed that CIA season 2 will premiere on Monday, October 5, 2026, at 9 p.m. ET on CBS.
“The ultimate duo is back and better than ever,” the caption read on the July 27 post. “CIA returns with all-new episodes Monday October 5.”’’’
Fans were ecstatic to know season 2 was coming soon.
“Yeeesss epicccc 🔥🔥🔥,” one person exclaimed in the comments. “This is great news! I’m so excited! Welcome back! ❤️,” another cheered. “Oh, my God. Finally! ✨,” a different follower added.
When Tom and Nick spoke with Good Housekeeping earlier this year, Tom praised how the show thrives on the yin-yang dynamic between their characters.
“You need characters at the center that the audience will love,” Tom said. “If you have a show that’s going to run for a long time, the characters need a dynamic the audience can’t wait to watch every week. Bill and Colin’s opposing personalities is something people will love. Their relationship is the anchor of the show.”
We’re excited to see what’s next!
