Marshals will return for season 2 on Sunday, October 4, 2026, at 8 p.m. ET on CBS.

The Yellowstone spinoff announced cast changes ahead of the new installment.

Marshals season 2 is almost here, and things may look a little different this time around.

The hit Yellowstone spinoff has developed quite a following since its March 2026 debut, with fans eager to see Kayce Dutton (Luke Grimes) try his hand as a U.S. Marshal in the heart of Texas. The show got renewed for season 2 and will premiere on Sunday, October 4, 2026, at 8 p.m. ET on CBS.

Although the show is keeping things on the down low ahead of the new installment, Deadline reported that some things are changing—mainly regarding the cast.

According to the outlet, viewers can expect Morgan Lindholm, who plays Pete “Cal” Calvin’s daughter Maddie, to have a bigger role in season 2. The show is also welcoming Marque Richardson as he takes on the recurring role of Assistant U.S. Attorney Patrick Burns.

Season 1 left Maddie and Cal’s relationship estranged. And while Maddie called Cal “dad” for the first time in the latter half of the season, the finale in May 2026 indicated that Cal and his romantic interest Isabel “Belle” Skinner (Arielle Kebbel) were left in a life-threatening situation following an attack. Cal had also been diagnosed with cancer earlier on in the show.

Morgan posted her own reaction to the casting news.

“Well… looks like Maddie’s sticking around 🍻,” she wrote on Instagram on August 12. “I’m so excited to be back for Season 2 of @marshalscbs. I’m filled with so much gratitude. Thank you @deadline for the announcement and a big welcome to Marque Richardson. See you this October!”

We can’t wait!
