  • 2 Tbsp. cider vinegar
  • 2 tsp. vanilla extract
  • 8 oz. dark chocolate, chopped
  • 1/2 cup salted roasted almonds, chopped

Directions

    1. Step 1Line large rimmed baking sheet with aluminum foil; lightly coat with nonstick cooking spray. Arrange matzo on pan in single layer, breaking into pieces to fit if necessary.

Microwave, uncovered, on High 6 minutes in 2-minute intervals, whisking after each interval. Microwave 3 to 4 minutes more in 1-minute intervals until dark amber.

    4. Step 4Meanwhile, in microwave-safe medium bowl, microwave chocolate, covered with waxed paper, on High 1 to 2 minutes or until almost melted, stirring once. Remove from microwave and stir until smooth. Pour over caramel layer; spread into thin layer using spatula. Sprinkle with almonds.
    5. Step 5Refrigerate 20 minutes or until chocolate layer hardens; break into pieces. Makes about 1 1/2 pounds brittle.
