Losing an hour of sleep after daylight saving time can be tough, but it's also an opportunity to re-evaluate how you sleep—especially if you consistently struggle with getting a good night's rest. As Sleep Week continues (March 8-14), you'll see tons of sales on all things sleep from sunrise alarm clocks to bedding and mattresses.

As Good Housekeeping's resident mattress expert, I've spent years researching and testing the latest and greatest mattresses out there. The Saatva Classic Mattress is our top-tested pick for the best mattress of 2026 and recently won a 2026 Good Housekeeping Bedding Award. This week, if you shop through our links, you can save 20% off a Saatva mattress purchase of $1,000 or more.

SHOP OUR EXCLUSIVE SAATVA SALE

As someone who writes mattress content in between testing year-round, this is genuinely a great time to purchase a Saatva mattress; twenty percent is the highest discount we've seen. Act fast, though—the sale is only taking place until March 14.

Saatva is offering GH readers 20% off on mattress purchases of $1,000 or more from now through March 14th when you shop through our links. All purchases include complimentary white glove delivery and mattress removal, plus a generous 365-night trial (minus a $99 pickup fee if you opt to return it).

Pros

  • Crowd-pleasing comfort and support
  • Excellent breathability

Cons

  • Runs firm

We've been recommending the Saatva Classic for over 10 years because of its durable design and quality construction. It's an innerspring mattress and stands out for using two layers of coils for maximum breathability and support.

Over 100 people on our survey panel have praised the comfy feel and its positive impact on their sleep quality. Several testers highlighted the supportive edges, and one person shared, "I feel like I could spend the whole day lying in bed."

Best Organic Latex

Pros

  • Zoned support
  • Runs cooler than foam

Cons

  • Only available in medium firm

Saatva's Latex Hybrid blends ergonomic design with responsive latex. Latex is often underrated, but it's great at evenly distributing your body weight and providing a "lifted" feel you won't find in any other material. This model takes it a step further by using zoned latex, which means there's extra support in key areas like the lower back.

Our testers gave it high scores for its springy comfort and just-right support. One person said it "feels like a relief to lie down on." She also liked the firm—but not too firm—feel, saying it's "the best [mattress] I’ve ever slept on."

Pros

  • Contouring foam and latex
  • Heavy-duty, reinforced coils

Cons

  • May be too firm for side sleepers

Plus-size sleepers (or anyone over 250 pounds) will appreciate the heavy-duty materials in the Saatva HD. It's specifically designed for users weighing up to 500 pounds but still prioritizes comfort with a mix of latex and foam layers over reinforced coils.

Our panel members were impressed with how sturdy the edges were and how well the mattress held up over time. One tester claimed she "fell in love" with the mattress from night one. She shared, "This mattress helped with all of my chronic pain," further adding, "In the morning, I don't have all those usual aches I have had all my life from fibromyalgia."

Solaire Adjustable Firmness Mattress

Pros

  • Adjustable firmness level
  • Choose between contouring foam or bouncy latex

Cons

  • High price point

Firmness was the number one concern in our recent mattress surveys of over 10,000 users, but it's not an issue with an adjustable mattress. You can pick from 50 different firmness levels on the Saatva Solaire, and—best of all—it still feels like a traditional mattress.

Like smart mattresses, the Solaire uses air chambers to firm up or soften the bed, but it also has the same comfort layers you'd see in a conventional mattress (like memory foam and latex). Plus, you can manually flip the comfort layer to change the feel.

These features stand out. One tester reported, "I share this bed with my husband, and for the first time, he fell asleep on his back and slept peacefully through the night without moving or rolling around."

Zenhaven Latex Mattress

Pros

  • Sleeps cooler than memory foam
  • Zoned support

Cons

  • Heavy

Flippable mattresses are hard to find since most brands have moved to one-sided designs, but Saatva's all-latex Zenhaven mattress is an exception. Each side has a different firmness option (either Luxury Plush or Gentle Firm). Hot sleepers will also appreciate the vented areas in the latex plus temperature-regulating wool batting.

We like that this model uses zoned layers, for more support in key areas like the lower back. Our survey panel gave it good scores for support and found it kept them at a comfortable temperature, though a few cautioned that flipping the bed was a two-person job.

Is Sleep Week a good time to buy a Saatva mattress?

linebreak

Yes! Sleep Week isn't a traditional holiday weekend (when we typically see the notable discounts), but this sale is equivalent to one. Last year, the highest discount Saatva offered was 20% off.

I would recommend shopping now, because we've seen steady price increases from the brand over the years—including multiple increases within the past year alone.

Is Saatva worth the price?

linebreak

Saatva mattresses have gotten the highest satisfaction scores in our mattress panel surveys, particularly for the level of customer service and quality craftsmanship. The mattresses highlighted in this story are some of our top-tested recommendations and stand out for their dependable support.

The caveat is that if you're a side sleeper who loves an ultra-soft mattress, Saatva's mattresses may run too firm for comfort.

Do Saatva mattresses go on sale?

linebreak

Yes, Saatva mattresses frequently go on sale. In fact, I don't recommend buying one when it's full price because of that.

However, the brand tends to offer the best deals around holiday weekends like Presidents Day or Black Friday. During Saatva's recent Presidents Day Sale, Good Housekeeping readers saved 20% off their mattress purchases of $1,000 or more when shopping through one of our links.

What is the best Saatva mattress?

linebreak

With mattresses, it all comes down to personal preference. The brand's most popular model (and our top pick) is the Classic Mattress, an innerspring mattress that comes in three firmness levels from Plush to Firm. But the brand's Latex Hybrid Mattress, HD Mattress, Solaire Mattress, and Zenhaven Mattress are all beds we'd recommend based on tester feedback.

Can you return a Saatva mattress?

linebreak

Saatva offers a 365-day free trial period, which is one of the most generous around. If you're not enjoying yours (though, we think you will!), you can call Saatva to start a return or exchange. Note that there will be a $99 pick up fee.
