Our queen—ahem—princess Kate Middleton is known for her statement-making accessories, elevated sweaters, and chic-yet-comfy footwear choices. And now that it’s the start of summer, she's wearing some dresses that we’re excited to follow.

At a recent event to honor the 125th anniversary of non-profit organization Cancer Research UK, Middleton wore a crab-colored midi-length dress that featured a white collar, attached belt that cinched her waist, and red high heel pumps. But we couldn't help but take note of the dress's print: white polka dots that lined the entire silhouette.

The look is reminiscent of Kate introducing her first child, Prince George at St. Mary’s Hospital in London in 2013. She wore a powder blue dress with white polka dots, paying homage to her late mother-in-law, Princess Diana, who made the print part of her signature look (plus, Princess Diana wore a similar polka dot dress in green during Prince William’s debut in 1982).

What we love about the dress is the way it can be dressed up for a more formal event with heels and a clutch (like how Kate styled it), or could be dressed down for a summer picnic or happy hour by adding a crossbody bag and sandals. The dress Kate wore is by luxury brand Rodarte, and is now unfortunately sold out across the internet. But before you feel like you missed out, we rounded up some similar options that capture Kate's style and showcase summer's trendiest polka dot print.

Personally, we're eyeing this Amazon find for under $50 that replaces Middleton's white color with white lace trim for a feminine touch. The dress is also a midi-length like Kate's and can easily be dressed up or down with the right accessories. (I personally recommend adding a pair of rounded sunglasses for a truly chic look that's fit for a princess.)
