It seems to be that statement jewelry is Jenna Bush Hager’s thing; she’s almost never on air without bold accessories. (For instance, we recently spotted Jenna hopping on the chunky dopamine necklace trend, a.k.a. the latest fad of the summer.) But she showcased a different look last week—one that has to do with diamonds and bling.

Jenna confidently brought the tennis necklace back, layered under a dainty choker-length chain. She paired her set with a crisp white button-down, a butter-yellow slip skirt, and strappy brown sandals. Her overall look very much gave “quiet luxury” energy.

While the tennis necklace has always been timeless, it has definitely experienced quieter and bigger moments—and this past spring, searches for “tennis necklace” spiked on Google.

I did some digging to find similar options to Jenna’s, and luckily, my research came back with a few. I specifically looked for more affordable options (for instance, gold-plated picks with cubic zirconia) from brands like Madewell, J.Crew, and even Amazon. I found some in the $80 range, and one as cheap as $14.

What I love most about the tennis necklace is that while classic and elegant, it can be worn in different ways. Yes, you could wear it to that special floor-length gown gala, but Jenna proves that you could pair it with a more casual staple to elevate your outfit.

Also, it just so happened that on the same day Jenna wore her tennis necklace, her outfit matched with TODAY co-host, Sheinelle Jones. The two were playfully discussing viewer questions about group trip etiquette, and we thought it was an adorable moment that captured their growing friendship.
