Amal Clooney has just debuted her most mouthwatering brunette shade yet, featuring a beautiful blend of rich, chocolatey tones that her hairstylist, Dimitris Giannetos, has dubbed ‘KitKat hair’ – and yes, the name alone has us sold already.
Last night, Amal and husband George stepped out in London for the King’s Trust 50th Anniversary Celebration at the Royal Albert Hall. The pair looked incredible on the red carpet, with Amal truly stealing the show in a glittering Alexander McQueen gown. And, as always, we were left mesmerised by her bouncy, chocolate-toned locks.
Sometimes inspiration comes from the most unexpected places — and it seems Amal’s hairstylist found his in the confectionery aisle. Posting her shiny new look on Instagram, he captioned the photo: ‘KitKat hair colour and royal glow makeup for #amalclooney’, before adding, ‘we wanted to keep her hair colour in deep cocoa with golden milk feathery highlights styled in soft brushed-through waves!’
Subtle but beautiful, the soft ‘golden milk’ highlights were delicately woven through her chocolate-toned locks. Look closely and you’ll spot a few lighter strands strategically placed around the front to create an ultra-flattering and brightening effect, bringing an extra hit of radiance to the face.
Her locks were kept smooth at the crown before tumbling into pretty, Hollywood-worthy waves that fell just past her shoulders. And, as one fan aptly put it in the comments: ‘the hair is hairing’ — high praise in internet lingo.
