Morrisons' chunky chicken nugget-style pieces are coated with a lightly spiced, crunchy poppadom crumb for an Indian-twist on your regular breaded bite. Testers described the meat as soft and moist, enjoying the bold chilli note and sweet mango chutney dip.

Add a pop of colour to the festive table with Morrisons’ prawn dumplings. The vibrant red parcels are generously stuffed with lemongrass-spiked king prawns and water chestnuts, and come with a mild garlic and chilli dipping sauce to serve alongside.

We'd recommend teaming the dumplings (above), with Morrisons’ adorable red ribbon steamed buns. The punchy Asian flavour includes plenty of spring onion, shitake mushroom, garlic and ginger, all encased within a soft and sticky, slightly sweet bun.

You can never go wrong with smoked salmon at Christmas, and Morrisons has elevated the classic ingredient with these beautifully presented, individual verrines. Rich and creamy, with plenty of fresh herbs and garlic, testers found this starter well seasoned, and loved the prawn on top.

It’s always handy to have some party food options stashed in the freezer in the run up to Christmas, and we think this take on mac and cheese fits the bill nicely.

Presented in individual, reusable terracotta dishes, the indulgent pasta bake is elevated with chunks of prawn and lobster throughout the creamy cheddar and chive sauce. And while some found it a touch salty, the majority went back for seconds...

In our mind, there’s nothing more inviting than a cosy night in with a glass of red wine and a cracking fondue. Morrisons has made it simple to recreate, with its pre-prepared pack, made with light and nutty gruyere. The smooth, runny texture is fantastic with crudités and crusty bread.

Who says you have to serve turkey on the big day? Morrisons’ unique festive centrepiece is inspired by Italian porchetta but is made using tender British lamb instead. The boneless, rolled meat is flavoured with fennel, garlic and herbs and the flavoursome fat cap lends each bite a rich, mature note.

This juicy leg of lamb will make the perfect centrepiece over the Christmas period. It filled the kitchen with a delicious aroma and was described as having an aged umami note that should go down a treat with guests.

This veggie-packed wellington is a great alternative for non-meat eaters. It’s filled with earthy butternut squash, sweet parsnip and soya protein, and topped with rich minced mushroom, all encased within buttery puff pastry. A comforting choice for a cold winter’s day.

Made using British pork and wrapped in streaky bacon, these dinky pigs in blankets are a solid side dish. The bacon crisped up well, and the meat had hints of pepper and nutmeg, making them a good choice for the whole family.

While some would have preferred a greater bacon to sausage ratio, Morrisons more than made up for that with a bold injection of cheese and spicy jalapeño. Granted, its not the most traditional of Christmas flavours, however the heat is fairly mild, so shouldn't scare off Aunt Sally.

Morrisons’ goose fat-roasted potatoes stood out for their exemplary texture. The balance of flaky, golden casing and smooth, fluffy middle was described as “exceptional”, not to mention the evocative aroma that had our panel going back for a second helping.
