Layers of peanut butter and chocolate: Snickers-inspired overnight oats recipe is a breakfast boost
Get prepped for the week with this nutty breakfast delight.

Easily digestible, minimal ingredients and quick to rig up. The benefits of a bowl of overnight oats are multiple, and putting your own spin on them is simple too. Our new favourite energy boosting brekkie includes layers of peanut butter and dark chocolate for a touch of indulgence, but with the added benefit of fibre rich oats and protein packed chia seeds. Fancy the oats in a different flavour? Check out these genius takes!
Ingredients
- 50 g porridge oats
- 1 Tbsp. chia seeds
- 130 ml oat milk
- 1 Tbsp. honey or maple syrup
- 40 g crunchy peanut butter
- 30 g dark chocolate, chopped
- 1 tsp. coconut oil
- 5 g roasted and salted peanuts
Directions
- Step 1Combine the oats and chia seeds. Stir in the oat milk and honey or maple syrup. Transfer to a large ramekin or small jar and chill for 4 hours, ideally overnight.
- Step 2Loosen the peanut butter with a splash of hot water, if needed, and stir. Spoon over the oats and carefully spread. Place the chocolate and coconut oil in a microwaveable bowl or jug. Melt in 30 second bursts in the microwave. Carefully pour the melted chocolate over the oats and peanut butter and swirl, ensuring everything is covered. Transfer to the fridge for 10 minutes or until starting to set but still a little tacky. Sprinkle over the peanuts, return to the fridge and chill until completely set.
GH TIP: For a sweeter take, replace the dark chocolate with milk chocolate.
