Saira Khan shared a candid post on Instagram, admitting that she never imaged she'd have the confidence to wear a bikini.

The Loose Women star has previously revealed that she suffered from psoriasis and dry skin as a teen.

The presenter shared a selection of bikini shots from her idyllic-looking holiday on Instagram, writing: "Never in my dreams did I ever think that after suffering with skin disorders most of my teenage and young adult life, I would ever be able to show off my skin as I did on this holiday.

"But with years of self-care, dedication and patience, I can say that despite having scars and not-so-perfect skin, I am finally happy and confident to wear what I like and not be ashamed of my skin."

She added: "I can’t tell you the amount of anxious years I have spent carefully choosing what clothes to wear because my skin was red raw, bloody or inflamed due to the amount of scratching that I did," before revealing that her own skincare business was inspired by her past struggles.

Followers praised her for her honesty, with one writing: "All your hard work and determination has paid off you look fab! It's great to see real women in real photos!"
