We've all been there. You're eating at a restaurant with your children, trying to have a nice time, but they get a bit loud or start messing around, and you calmly try to tell them to be quiet so as not to disturb other diners. But usually, said other diners are pretty understanding, right?

So spare a thought for this couple, who had to deal with some not-so-understanding diners.

Katie Leach, of Idaho, took her 10-month-old son Drew to a family-friendly restaurant for a bit of down time.

Throughout the dinner, Drew, who discovered yelling recently according to his mum, got very noisy as as he was excited about the commotion, though his family tried to calm him a few times.

Then about halfway through the meal, two women who were dining behind them approached them and slammed a note down on their table.

It read, 'Thank you for ruining our dinner with your screaming kids! Sincerely, The Table Behind You'.

Katie was understandably upset, and told the women, who were in their late 50s, that Drew was just a baby and that she was trying to teach him not to be noisy.

However they apparently said it was no excuse and that their grandchildren never behaved that way.

Thankfully for Katie, the manager got involved and asked the ladies to leave the diner once their meal was over.

The story has since been shared many times since Katie posted it on Facebook, but has divided users between two camps. Some claim Katie should have got a takeaway instead if she knew he was in his yelling phase.

Others argued that the rude ladies should not have gone to the venue, which is clearly a family-friendly restaurant, therefore full of children.
