Andy Murray and Kim Sears have named their daughter

Andy Murray and wife Kim Sears have reportedly named their daughter Sophia Olivia, according to a family friend of the couple.

There was speculation that the pair would choose a traditional Scottish name.

Speculation around the name had been growing, with traditional names Freya, Alexandra and Elizabeth put forward as favourites.

No other details of their bundle of joy have been released, except that she was born on February 7 and weighed a healthy 8lb 10oz.

The new family are keeping a low profile at their home in Oxford.

After losing the Australian Open to Novak Djokovic, Andy rushed home to be at his wife's side for the birth - but not before commending Kim for being a 'legend' for her support during the tennis tournament.

The couple married in Dunblane last April.
