Although most modern strollers offer a decent amount of storage space in the undercarriage basket for all sorts of parenting essentials, from diapers to toys, extra clothing, and snacks, I’ve been using a stroller caddy since day 1 as a mom to extend that space. I use my caddy every single day to carry my keys, wallet, sunglasses, and little items I want within arm’s reach (yes, that includes poop bags for my dog and a hat for my toddler).

During my time as a product tester and mom at the Good Housekeeping Institute, I’ve had the opportunity to try out a variety of stroller caddies. The Storq Stroller Party Caddy Bag is my current favorite for keeping all my essentials organized and in one place, and it happens to be a Good Housekeeping Parenting Award winner. Here are all the reasons why it’s my go-to.

Pros

  • Two-in-one stroller caddy and shoulder bag
  • Multiple pockets for easy organization
  • Attaches easily to most strollers
  • Stylish design and available in several fun prints
  • Machine washable

Cons

  • No insulated bottle pockets
  • Not water-resistant

A fun way to personalize your stroller

Before coming across Storq’s caddy bag, I used one that was black and, frankly, unattractive. It served it’s purpose, but it just wasn’t cute. I absolutely love that the Storq caddy bag comes in a variety of fun, eye-catching prints—my favorite being the green stripe. Because most strollers come in neutral colors, it’s been nice to be able to add some color and personality.

And I’m not the only one who feels that way. All parents who tested the caddy bag for GH Parenting Awards appreciated the bag’s adorable patterns and vibrant colors.

Aesthetics aside, the Storq caddy bag is as practical as it is functional. Unlike other caddies that I’ve used, it converts into a purse in seconds so that I can bring the bag with me whenever I’m parking my stroller or leaving it behind. You just unbutton the two straps and use the longer built-in strap to sling it over your shoulder, as pictured above.

GH Parenting Awards testers also really liked how versatile the caddy bag is. “It’s soft, holds a decent amount, and I love that it’s universal,” said one mom.

Smart storage keeps everything organized

This bag also helps me stay organized, thanks to several individual storage compartments. There are zippered pockets that I use for things that could easily fall out, like a ChapStick, pen, or receipt I need to keep. The two external compartments are a great storage spot for my sunglasses, a sunscreen stick, and keys, while the main interior compartment is larger than it looks and stores bulkier items like my cellphone and a book.

Easy to clean after everyday messes

Accidents happen, especially with a baby or toddler. I’ve definitely gotten mashed banana and crumbs all over this bag. Fortunately, it’s machine washable so I just throw it in the wash when it gets dirty, and so far it’s come out looking as good as new.

A few things to keep in mind

I love a lot about this bag, but I will admit that it’s not the best storage caddy if you’re hoping to carry a coffee cup or any sort of open beverage. I’d definitely recommend a cup holder for that, or a bag with a more rigid bottom surface.

Also, it’s far from waterproof. I’ve been stuck in a sudden rain shower with it before, and the bag was drenched in under 30 seconds.

Bottom line

The Storq Stroller Party Caddy Bag goes well beyond basic storage, and deserves a spot on any baby registry. I love that it keeps my everyday essentials organized, adds a fun pop of color to my stroller, and easily converts into a purse when I need to leave my stroller behind.

While you'll still want to invest in a separate cup holder (don’t count on it to carry your coffee or withstand messes and spills), those are minor trade-offs for a bag that's as stylish as it is practical. It's quickly become one of my most-used on-the-go parenting accessories, and I don't leave the house without it.
