Trunk-or-treat has come a long way since it began in the ’90s. These days, families are transforming their SUVs into miniature haunted houses, pumpkin patches, and all-out Halloween displays—sometimes even competing for best-decorated vehicles.

When it comes to decor, head to Amazon. It’s packed with trunk-or-treat necessities including themed kits, colorful backdrops, balloons, lights, and larger-than-life props. You can go sweet and silly for younger trick-or-treaters with classic jack-o’-lanterns and friendly ghosts, or you can assemble something creepy enough to make even the bravest visitors approach with caution.

And because decorating a car in the middle of a parking lot is a challenge on its own, we looked for finds that are easy to hang, arrange, and pack away once the last fun-size candy bar has been swiped.

Alice in Wonderland fans will jump for joy at the sight of this spiral rabbit hole. The kit includes vines, hanging rope, and double-sided tape to help you hang the included oversized playing cards and teacups. Plus, a lot of the decor can be reused for an indoor party.
