With so many kitchen appliances on the market, counter space feels like more of a premium than ever. Not to mention, they can cost a fortune and turn out to be a letdown once you get them home and use them.
That’s why the Good Housekeeping Kitchen & Cooking Lab constantly tests the latest air fryers, coffee makers, blenders, and more to help you decide what’s worth bringing home. These Good Housekeeping 2027 Kitchen Award winners rose to the top after we evaluated hundreds of kitchen products for performance, ease of use, and innovation. We also had home cooks try them out in their kitchens to see how they performed at all skill levels. These winners, including cooking and baking appliances as well as blenders, juicers, coffee makers, and espresso machines, have proven to be worth your counter space.
Cuisinart’s glass air fryer allows you to watch your food as it cooks, and it even has a light for added visibility. It’s powerful and easy to program, with five settings to choose from. The slide-out basket has cool-touch handles, and it comes with a lid so it can store leftovers.
TEST RESULTS: This air fryer made crispy wings and tender, evenly browned fries starting from frozen in our tests. One tester said, “It genuinely improved my cooking experience,” and another told us, “I was blown away by this.” Testers loved being able to watch their food cook.

Testers enjoyed cooking with this air fryer and liked how it “cut down on weekday cooking time.” They also appreciated its design–one commented, “It would blend in with most kitchen decors.”
Our Place’s new countertop oven has a digital control panel and eight functions, including air-fry, bake, roast, toast, broil, dehydrate, proof, and reheat. TEST RESULTS: We toasted bread, baked cakes, air-fried wings, and more, and the results all came out great. At-home testers liked being able to use it for a wide variety of tasks, including cooking fish, baking cookies, and heating up leftovers.

The latest cooking food processor and blender from Thermomix has a sleek, monochrome look and a large, 10-inch touchscreen. Every tester told us it was award-worthy. One said, “It has everything I love about my original KitchenAid plus some extra features.”
Breville’s innovative design allows all its accessories to be stored in the work bowl. This nine-cup model is compact but powerful and includes everything you need to chop, puree, slice, shred, and make different types of dough.

Espro’s 32-ounce French press is made from stainless steel and is double-walled for better heat retention. It features a dual micro-filter system that helps remove grit and sediment. It’s also equipped with technology that prevents the grounds from over-steeping after you press them so you won’t have to worry about overly strong or bitter coffee.
TEST RESULTS: It consistently made smooth and well-rounded coffee in our tests. It also kept the beverage hot for hours. One tester compared the results to the coffee she would get at a luxury hotel.
For those who prefer to avoid plastic in their kitchens, this eight-cup coffee maker from SimplyGoodCoffee uses a glass water reservoir and stainless steel for its water tubes, brew head, and filter holder liner—a rarity in coffee makers. It also has a hot plate to keep coffee warm.
