We're spending our weekend stalking the best Black Friday deals, and some of our favorite vacuum cleaners are on sale with discounts of up to 60% off right now. Our experts in the Good Housekeeping Institute Cleaning Lab regularly test and evaluate vacuums, so I rounded up the steepest discounts on our top performers.
I only considered vacuums that have been tested and evaluated by our pros. Carolyn Forté, the executive director of our Cleaning Lab, has been overseeing vacuum testing for decades. So, she knows a thing or two about what makes the vacuums below worth shopping.
Best Deal
THE DEAL: Get 50% off the top-performing vacuum from our Cleaning Lab tests.
WHY WE LOVE IT: This upright, bagless vacuum works on all floor types with different cleaning modes for each flooring. It has a HEPA filter to trap dust and allergens inside (so it’s a great vacuum to clean up pet hair before anyone with allergies comes over!), and our pros appreciated its ability to convert into a handheld canister.
IN OUR CLEANING LAB TESTS: With powerful suction and a dual-brush roll nozzle, this vacuum easily picked up large and small debris on all floor types and along wall edges. Plus, the self-cleaning brush roll successfully prevents hair tangling for an all-around easy, effective cleaning performance.

THE DEAL: Take 24% off our Cleaning Lab experts’ pick for the best stick vacuum.
WHY WE LOVE IT: Lightweight, slim, and easy to use, the Dyson V15 takes up only a tiny bit of space in a closet. It may be small, but it is mighty—its whole-machine filtration seals in allergens and auto-detects the floor type and dust level to change the suction and brush roll speed accordingly. It can be converted to a handheld model, has an LCD screen, and a light to illuminate dust on the floor.
IN OUR CLEANING LAB TESTS: This Good Housekeeping Cleaning Awards winner’s laser light helped our Cleaning Lab pros see tiny crumbs and scraps they would have otherwise missed, had powerful suction on every floor type, and provides auto or manual modes for the floor-type suction settings.

THE DEAL: Take a whopping 71% off our experts' pick for a robot model among the best vacuums we tested.
WHY WE LOVE IT: Robot vacuums are great for in-between cleanups, and we love this model from Dyson. Its compact design is great if you don't have tons of space, and we love its retractable "side-actuator" duct that helps with edge cleaning. Plus, the vacuum automatically adjusts suction levels as it passes over particularly dirty sections or moves from rooms with different floor types.
IN OUR CLEANING LAB TESTS: This Dyson model was the highest-scoring standalone robot vacuum in our Lab tests. "It outperformed all other robot models in removing heavy debris like sand in our carpet pickup tests," Forté reported.

THE DEAL: Take 45% off this Shark vacuum, which saves you $100.
WHY WE LOVE IT: Our Cleaning Lab experts rated this model as the best value vacuum from Shark thanks to its budget-friendly price (even when it's not on sale!). We love that it can be used as an upright or canister vacuum, and it has a sealed HEPA system to trap dust and allergens.
IN OUR CLEANING LAB TESTS: Shark is a top-performing brand in our tests, so we love this affordable pick with washable filters, a bagless dustbin, versatile attachments, and strong suction.
THE DEAL: Take 37% off our top-performing robot vacuum.
WHY WE LOVE IT: With an all-in-one dock, this robot vacuum-mop empties, washes, and dries the mop while refilling detergent and water by itself for easy, hands-off maintenance. Featuring smart dirt detection, this robot vacuum even re-mops areas on the floor that need to be cleaned again, and the extendable side brushes help clean tight spots.
IN OUR CLEANING LAB TESTS: Speedy and effective, this robot vacuum completed our cleaning course in under 11 minutes, picking up medium and large debris on multiple floor types and maneuvering obstacles.

THE DEAL: Get 23% off this cordless vacuum that’s ideal for cleaning pet hair.
WHY WE LOVE IT: Our Cleaning Lab pros recommend this model to pet owners who want a light, easy-to-use vacuum to clean up pet hair from floors, stairs, and furniture. We love that it can stand up on its own and that it can be converted to a handheld vacuum.
IN OUR CLEANING LAB TESTS: This vacuum effectively removed pet hair from hard flooring and carpets in our tests without tangling, including 18-inch test strands of hair. Our pros found the bright headlights helpful at illuminating debris under furniture, and found the FurFinder attachment effective at removing embedded pet hair from furniture.
We also appreciate that it stands upright on its own with the press of a button—a rare feature among stick vacuums, which typically need to be propped against a wall. Though its runtime of about 40 minutes is shorter than some models we tested, consumer testers were impressed with its performance overall, with one calling it “Amazing!”

IN OUR CLEANING LAB TESTS: In a test of 18 handheld vacuums, this model from Worx came out on top with the highest scores for pet hair pickup, and in our cleaning tests on carpets and bare floors. It was quiet and had a run time of 23 minutes (but you can buy a higher-capacity battery from the brand).
THE DEAL: Take 31% off this portable carpet cleaner on Amazon right now.
WHY WE LOVE IT: While not technically a vacuum, this easy-to-use carpet cleaner is compact and has a strong suction that sucks up wet spills and dispenses a cleaning solution to prevent staining and refresh the desired area.
IN OUR CLEANING LAB TESTS: Stains are no match for one of our pros' favorite portable carpet cleaners. Older, set-in stains were faded after using this appliance, and Forté found it to be "a handy, convenient and effective way to promptly address carpet stains and clean upholstery more often."
