Camping sounds great in theory—but in reality, it means wrestling with tent poles, squeezing sleeping bags onto the ground, and waking up with a sore back—not exactly the relaxing getaway you had in mind. But what if you could spend more time outside without completely roughing it? We found a canvas yurt tent on Amazon that may be just the thing.
With its beige canvas exterior and tall, pointed roof, it looks more like a glamping retreat than your average tent—and the inside is just as appealing. The nearly 10-foot-wide interior has enough room for two to four people to sleep, while mesh-covered windows and roof vents let fresh air circulate.
There's even a stove jack for a compatible tent stove, so you can make the most of camping trips when temperatures drop. Set it up at a campground for a weekend getaway or turn it into a backyard hideaway.
Worst-case scenario when you're camping? Unpredictable weather. According to the brand, the yurt is made with 5,000-millimeter waterproof canvas, while its sewn-in polyethylene floor helps keep ground moisture out. The steel support poles are also corrosion-resistant, per the listing. So, if rain interrupts your plans, you can retreat inside for an afternoon of reading, card games, or simply listening to the rain hit the roof.
When assembled, the yurt measures 9.85 feet across and about 7.2 feet high at its tallest point. Despite its size, it weighs just 28 pounds and packs into a compact storage bag, making it easy to transport. Setup involves staking down the tent, raising the center pole, and securing the guy lines. Once it's standing, all that's left to do is make yourself comfortable.
