I’ve been covering Amazon Prime Day for over seven years now, so I know a thing or two about maximizing savings on Amazon. We all know the popular online retailer is a treasure trove of savings during Prime Day events, but its Coupons page takes discounts to a whole new level.

Even better, now that Prime Big Deal Days is here, you can actually stack coupons on top of existing discounts. Here's what you need to know, including where to find these coupons on a listing and how to access Amazon’s dedicated Coupons page.

What are Amazon Coupons?

Amazon Coupons are digital discounts offered on select products. They’re often well-hidden within a product listing, and the discount comes in the form of either a certain percentage or a dollar amount off the listed price. See below’s example from the Lenox Holiday Porcelain Dinnerware Set. The coupon is highlighted in red.

Where can I find Amazon Coupons?

Right now, since Amazon is set for Prime Big Deal Days on October 6 and 7, the website layout looks a little different. Click the button below to head straight to the dedicated coupon page. Or, type amazon.com/coupons in your browser’s search bar.

JUMP DIRECTLY TO AMAZON’S COUPON PAGE

Once Prime Day language and promotions are cleared on Amazon, here’s how to access the Coupons page on typical day:

On a desktop, navigate to “Today's Deals” at the top of the page. Then, use the right arrow to move through each deal category until you see “Coupons” at the very end (we meant it when we said they're hidden!). Click on "Coupons" to see all available coupons and add additional filters to narrow your search.

On the Amazon app, click on the three bars at the bottom of the homepage and choose “Deals & Savings,” and then click on “Today's Deals.” From there, toggle through the categories at the top until you get to the end and see “Coupons.” You can click on "Filters" and add more based on the type of product you want to shop.

Once you enter the Amazon Coupon page, you may find yourself overwhelmed by savings. We recommend using the filters on the left side of the main page, in addition to the “Coupons” filter.

How do I use Amazon Coupons?

Amazon coupons must be clipped before making your purchase. On a product listing, simply click the box next to the orange coupon flag right below the price. Once you “clip” the coupon, it will be saved to your account, and the discount will automatically apply at checkout.

Can anyone use Amazon Coupons?

The under-the-radar coupon section is available to anyone with an Amazon account, although we recommend signing up for Amazon Prime, as some of these coupons are exclusive to Prime members.

Do Amazon Coupons expire?

Yes. Coupons are valid for a limited time only, according to Amazon. However, unlike traditional coupons, which have an expiration date printed on them, these digital coupons currently do not appear to provide an exact expiration date. Instead, when a coupon nears its expiration, it will be placed into a section called “Expiring Soon.” This section will appear at the top of your Amazon Coupon Homepage.

Are Amazon Coupons worth it?

Sure, savings are savings—but here at GH, our shopping editors always say that “there’s never a good deal on a bad product.” I’ve worked numerous Amazon Prime Days and have seen coupon opportunities on products from third-party sellers that we don’t always recommend buying.

Knowing this, I recommend using your judgement before purchasing anything, especially when the deal seems too good to be true.
