The Pitt star Noah Wyle is up for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series at the 2026 Emmy Awards.
The former ER actor has been with his wife, Sara Wells, since 2010.
The couple shares a daughter, Frances; Noah has two children from his first marriage, Auden and Owen.
The Pitt has made quite an impression in its two seasons on TV.
Noah Wyle leads the cast as ER Dr. Michael "Robby" Robinavitch, and his portrayal won him a 2025 Emmy Award and a 2026 Golden Globe Award. Fortunately, Noah’s gotten to enjoy that success with his wife, Sara Wells.
The couple's road to romance began in December 2010, when they met while working on a production for the Blank Theatre Company. Sara had guest-starring roles on Californication and Nip/Tuck at the time, according to her IMDb page. Noah was a newly single dad, co-parenting with his ex-wife, Tracy Warbin, to raise their daughter, Auden, and son, Owen.
According to The Daily Mail, Noah and Sara began dating quickly and were in a relationship by 2011. As Noah stated in a December 2019 Instagram post, he didn't expect that meeting Sara would bring him new love: "9 years ago this week, my life turned into a love story," he wrote. "And it keeps getting better."
Fast-forward to 2014, and the ER star surprised people with a new development in his relationship. When Noah appeared on The View in June 2014, he revealed that he and Sara had tied the knot in a romantic ceremony on their California farm. In June 2015, the couple welcomed their daughter, Frances.
Sara has supported Noah through his toughest days on The Pitt. In fact, he told The Hollywood Reporter how she sent him off for a quick solo vacation to help decompress from the pressure the show put on him.
“I was really asking a lot of my family during those latter episodes, to be very patient with whatever mood I was going to come home in, because it was easier for me to stay in it than try to come out of it and be normal and then go back to work and get back in it," he told the outlet in August 2025. "I just didn’t leave it until we finished, and then as soon as we finished, my wife sent me off for three days to go sit on a beach."
While the couple is busy celebrating all of what Noah has accomplished, they’re not forgetting the behind-the-scenes moments that make their love story what it is.
“It was always you❤️,” Sara wrote on Instagram for Noah in June 2026. “Happy Anniversary.”
Noah also praised Sara and their kids for being by his side through it all.
”To my wife, Sara, and my three amazing children, Owen, Aud, and Frances,” he said when he got a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in April 2026. “You are my north, south, east, west. You are the reason I get up. You’re my motivation to try harder. You’re the source of my creativity. I thank you for your inspiration and for giving my life meaning and definition.”
Aw!
