It’s not often you meet your doppelganger—but Al Roker did on live TV!
On August 6, the longtime Today show host was reporting from Rockefeller Plaza when he noticed a couple in the crowd, Percy and Shirley. Shirley was holding a sign that said, “I’m married to Al Roker’s twin.”
Al went over to see if that was true.
“I feel badly for this woman over here, because she’s married to Al Roker’s twin,” the weatherman joked in a clip posted on YouTube.
Al went to chat with the couple.
“Have people told you that I look like you?” he asked Percy.
“A lot of people,” Percy responded.
“Do people just come up and just slap you for a forecast?” Al added, causing Percy to crack up and say, “No.”
“Well, listen—I hope it’s been as wonderful as it appears to be,” Al said. “Wow, that’s freaky!”
Fans were cracking up about the encounter in the comments.
“Oh my gosh! Al has a twin out there ❤️😂,” one person exclaimed. “They should have a whole segment dedicated to people that look like them in the plaza,” another suggested.
