Al Roker celebrated his 72nd birthday on August 20.

The Today star’s wife, Deborah Roberts, marked the occasion with a special Instagram tribute.

The couple will celebrate their 31st wedding anniversary on September 16.

Al Roker just marked a personal milestone—and his wife, Deborah Roberts, was by his side.

On August 20, the Today show star celebrated his 72nd birthday. Many of Al’s loved ones, like his fellow co-host, Craig Melvin, posted messages for him online, but Deborah got folks sentimental with her touching Instagram tribute.

Deborah shared photos of her, Al, their children, daughters Courtney and Leila, and their son Nick, and their granddaughter, Sky Clara, and it was clear how much heart Al brings to family. Deborah also gushed about how special it has been to be by Al’s side throughout their marriage.

“It’s hard to sum up the joy you bring, Al Roker,” she wrote in the caption. “You’re a masterclass in optimism, kindness, and pure happiness. Thank you for showing us what living your best life looks like. How to see half full and never half empty. Happy, happy birthday, dear heart. We are blessed to be in your loving orbit. Here’s to more trips around the sun than you can count. ♥️♥️.”
