Jessie and Eric have been married since 2013 and have four children.

Jessie James Decker has been married to her husband, Eric Decker, since June 2013—and she’s getting candid about his role in keeping their lives organized.

The singer appeared on the October 7 episode of the Good Enough vodcast to promote her new cookbook, The Secret Sauce: A Family Cookbook Seasoned With Love, now available wherever books are sold.

Jessie spoke with Good Housekeeping editor-in-chief Elspeth Velten about life at home, and shared that Eric, a former NFL wide receiver from 2010 to 2018, does a lot to keep the house tidy.

That includes one household chore he took over from her in their kitchen.

“Do you know who should be here? My husband!” she exclaims in the episode. “My husband is the cleanest person—he’s so organized. He is like, on it. He won’t even let me load the dishwasher anymore!”

Jessie shared that as she built her career, which includes singing, her clothing brand Kittenish, and cookbooks, Eric held down the fort for her and their four children: daughter Vivianne and sons Eric Jr., Forrest, and Denver.

“I truly couldn’t be doing what I’m doing if my husband wasn’t as amazing as he is,” she said. “He is the most incredible partner. I just fall more in love with him every day because of what an incredible father and husband he is, and I truly believe having that support system is why I'm able to do what I do. If I didn't have that, I don't know that I would be comfortable doing the things that I do, because I would be so worried about the kids all the time.”

We absolutely love this for them—and we need all of Eric’s cleaning tips!
