Food Network fans, you’re going to want to pay attention to this.

Back in 2011, viewers were introduced to a new show called Restaurant Impossible. Hosted by celebrity chef Robert Irvine, the series followed him as he renovated failing restaurants to help restore them to financial success. The show built quite a following over the years, and people adored watching Robert change people’s lives along the way. And while the series paused in 2016, it returned in 2019 before beingcanceled in 2023.

Well, it looks like Restaurant Impossible is getting a spinoff, according to an announcement from Deadline on June 8. Titled Restaurant Impossible: Last Call, the show is slated to premiere on Thursday, July 23, 2026, at 8 p.m. ET on Food Network. But here’s the real kicker—the show will see chef Aarón Sánchez and restaurateur Jen Agg as hosts.

As Robert shared in an emotional post on X, he has no hard feelings about the situation.

“Folks and friends, I have to tell you I do miss the @restaurantimpossible show and my amazing team, but @FoodNetwork has chosen a different route from the show that I built and made into a worldwide brand,” he wrote. “I wish them luck and it’s life folks ... there is no anger, seriously, I’m busy helping so many folks … [love] you all 💪🌎🙏❤️😎.”

Shortly after Robert voiced his thoughts about the future of Restaurant Impossible, many applauded him for everything he put into the original series.

“Thankful for [you], Robert Irvine. You have excellent character. You are the GOAT. Your legacy is being witnessed, and there is more to come! I can’t wait to watch your projects!” one person wrote in the comments. “It was my favorite show! I will miss it!” another agreed. “It just won’t be Restaurant Impossible without you. Don’t even want to watch it,” a different follower added.

While we don’t know what Restaurant Impossible: Last Call will entail, we’ll definitely miss Robert!
