I Will Find You is the latest series to premiere on Netflix.
Based on the Harlan Coben novel of the same name, I Will Find You has quickly become the biggest series debut on Netflix in 2026.
Fans want to know if I Will Find You will return for season 2 on Netflix—and Harlan has thoughts about it.
When it comes to the world of Netflix, there is always a TV show that viewers can’t get enough of. And as of right now, the top show on the streamer is I Will Find You, the latest series to come from the brilliant mind of mystery/thriller author Harlan Coben.
Based on Harlan’s 2023 novel of the same name, I Will Find You follows David Burroughs (Sam Worthington), a man serving a life sentence for the framed murder of his son, Matthew. But when he uncovers information that suggests that Matthew is actually still alive, David attempts to seek out the truth of what really happened—and why he was framed in the first place.
Alongside Sam in the main role, fans have gotten to see Britt Lower, Milo Ventimiglia, Erin Richards, Madeleine Stowe, and plenty of other familiar faces in I Will Find You. And if that’s not enough, fans clearly love the show, as Variety noted the show was Netflix’s biggest new series debut of 2026, with 24 million views in just 4 days after its June 18 premiere.
Considering the show’s continuing popularity, fans have one question on their minds.
Will there be a season 2 of I Will Find You on Netflix?
Much to the chagrin of those eager for more episodes, we have some breaking news for you. There won’t be a season 2 of I Will Find You on Netflix, and when Harlan (who is also an executive producer on the show) spoke to TV Insider about the possibility, he had some thoughts.
“Probably not,” he admitted to the outlet. “Whenever I do [a show]—I think this is my 13th series with Netflix—it’s always with the intention of never writing these characters again. It’s all out on the table.
“It’s not fair to ask people to watch eight episodes of a series and wait two years for season 2,” he added. “So everything is kind of answered.”
Well, that’s disappointing! Despite Harlan’s comments, though, he did acknowledge that he is open to the idea of revisiting I Will Find You at some point in the future.
“I never say never,” he noted. “If we somehow came up with a storyline that would be as good as this one for these characters, I would tell it, but I don’t think we’re going to, and I’m not going to push it. I’d rather do a new story.”
If this is what Harlan has to say, then we just have to convince him that there are more stories to tell this time around!
