As Tracker prepares to start production for season 4, Justin Hartley has something to say about a significant change.

The hit CBS drama wrapped season 3 back in May, and fans were shocked to learn that Tracker will change locations for the upcoming installment. As the show moves from Vancouver, Canada, to Los Angeles, Justin (who executive-produces Tracker and stars as Colter Shaw) gave folks some insight into how it will shape the show's future.

As Justin teased to The Wrap in a May interview, he is excited about the idea of Tracker filming somewhere totally different from before. What’s more, he didn’t think fans would notice a significant shift.

“In terms of tone and character, I don't think it'll impact the show at all,” he explained to the outlet. “Our show is a road show. Our character goes from town to town across the United States of America and meets people from all different walks of life and helps them out. These strangers become kind of his family in a way.”

This makes a lot of sense!

“To be able to shoot in a different place that gives us different landscapes, we're able to go to places—New York, D.C., the desert, Texas, the beach,” Justin added. “It just opens up our world in terms of landscape, which is such a big character of our show.”

Justin is confident that this season 4 refresh will be well-received by viewers, especially as the show continues to charge forward.

“We built a really great, wonderful show and we did it in Vancouver for the first three years. Just, inevitably, as things go, the show has to evolve,” he concluded. “We’re not really interested in doing something just for the sake of doing it. I want to push the envelope, and I want it to be something different, so we’re excited about it. It’s going to be very good for the show and for the audience.”

We love to hear this, and we’re already intrigued by what’s to come for Tracker!
