Season 21 has been on NBC throughout the summer, and fans have been thrilled by the incredible acts week after week. So far, judges Simon Cowell, Sofía Vergara, Mel B, and Howie Mandel have decided which competitors move forward. But now it’s in the fans’ hands, allowing them to choose who will win it all and claim the $1 million prize.

Here’s how you can vote for your favorite AGT season 21 contestant.

When do the AGT season 21 live shows begin?

The first AGT season 21 live show premieres on Tuesday, August 18, 2026, at 8 p.m. ET on NBC.

Viewers will see the quarterfinals from August 18 to September 8. The semifinals will premiere on Tuesday, September 15, with the results episode on September 16. The finals air on September 22, followed by the live finale on September 23.

How can I vote during the AGT live shows?

You can keep your favorite contestant in the competition in several ways.

How to vote online or with the mobile app

After each episode of AGT finishes airing, viewers can go to either the NBC site or the AGT app to vote. Create an account first, then log in to either platform.

Once you’re ready, you can vote up to 10 times for your favorite contestant (or multiple, as long as you’re within the 10-vote limit). Voting begins at the end of each episode on Tuesday night and runs through Wednesday at 7 a.m. ET.

How to vote via TikTok

During the episode, the show’s official TikTok account (@agt) will upload a post asking viewers to “comment to vote.” There, you can type the full name of the act you’re hoping to move forward throughout the competition.

You can use this method up to 10 times in separate comments through 7 a.m. ET on Wednesdays, and votes must be on the original post every week.

What’s different about voting for the AGT live shows this season?

According to NBC Insider, there’s one major change to the voting selection this time.

Previous seasons allowed the judges to manipulate which acts advanced in the live shows, sometimes even making it to the finale. But for season 21, there are no Live Golden Buzzers, Wild Cards, or Saves that the judges can use. Meaning: the audience controls which competitors make it to the AGT season 21 finale.
