Best Medicine season 2 premieres September 22 on Fox.

Ahead of the new episodes, fans learned that Best Medicine season 1 is available to stream on Netflix.

Best Medicine season 2 hasn’t even started yet—but the show is already giving fans some epic news.

When the medical dramedy first aired on Fox in January 2026, fans met Dr. Martin Best (Josh Charles), a Boston surgeon who becomes a general practitioner in Port Wenn, Maine, where he spent his summers as a kid.

The show got renewed for season 2 in March, and new episodes are slated to air on Tuesday, September 22, 2026, at 8 p.m. ET on Fox. In the meantime, viewers can rewatch the show on Netflix.

Actress Abigail Spencer (who plays schoolteacher Louisa Gavin) revealed the news on Instagram in July.

“Some best news🚨,” the caption read. “All of season 1 of #BestMedicineFOX drops August 4th (my birthday!) on @netflix 🫡 & our international friends can find S1 on a network near you! (Slide 5!) ✨.”

Fans were grateful for the streaming opportunity.

“This is so awesome! It's a great way for Best Medicine to reach an even wider audience. Can't wait for season 2!! 🙌,” one person wrote in the comments. “One of my favorite shows this year. Excited to be able to watch it on Fox and Netflix,” another agreed. “Awesome news!! Love this show!!😍😍👏👏,” a different follower added.

There’s also a new Best Medicine season 2 promo.

“Just what the doctor ordered!” the caption read alongside the Instagram sneak peek on August 19. “#BestMedicineFOX returns September 22 on #FOX.”
