Fans may remember James Denton from the Hallmark drama Good Witch, but he’s heading to primetime for his latest role.

According to a video posted on Instagram, James will guest star in Happy’s Place season 3, premiering Friday, October 23, 2026, on NBC. The role is a reunion for James and Reba McEntire, as he played her love interest, Dr. Jack Morgan, in two episodes of the sitcom Reba.

“Your favorite bar is back in business!” read the caption on October 5. “A new season of #HappysPlace premieres October 23 on NBC and next day on Peacock.”

As soon as fans saw this news about James, they had so much to say.

“It's a Reba/Dr. Morgan reunion😍❤️,” one person exclaimed in the comments. “I’M SCREAMING!!!! Reba and James Denton back on my screen?!?!?! You have no idea how much this means to me! 🤭🙌🏻😭,” another shouted. “Omg JAMES DENTON!! I can’t wait for that!” a different follower added.

According to a report from TV Line, James will play JB, “a handsome stranger” who catches the attention of Bobbie (Reba) and Gabby (Melissa Peterman). But when JB chooses to pursue Bobbie, it complicates her on-and-off relationship with Emmett (Rex Linn).

In addition to appearing on Happy’s Place, James will return to the Hallmark universe for the upcoming holiday movie A Season of Promises. That movie premieres Sunday, November 8, 2026, and it will be part of the network’s official 2026 “Countdown to Christmas” lineup.
