As summer heats up, one of Starbucks' most beloved seasonal drinks is making its long-awaited return. After a six-year hiatus, the fan-favorite S'mores Frappuccino is back on menus, joined by two new drinks inspired by the nostalgic campfire treat.
Originally introduced in 2015, the S'mores Frappuccino quickly became a customer favorite thanks to its rich chocolate, toasted marshmallow and graham cracker flavors. According to Starbucks, the drink was inspired by the simple joy of gathering around a campfire with friends and family.
“This beverage is not just about recreating the flavor of a favorite treat, it’s about recreating a feeling—the joy of summer connection with friends,” said Lisa Beckman, director of Starbucks’ beverage development team, in a statement. “Then we brought that idea to life through a delicious Frappuccino, layering flavors and textures to create a multi-sensory and emotional experience.”
The original blended drink combines coffee, milk chocolate sauce, graham cracker flavor and marshmallow-flavored whipped cream, then finishes with another layer of whipped cream and a graham cracker crumble topping.
Alongside the returning favorite, Starbucks is introducing the new S'mores Cold Brew with Marshmallow Cold Foam. The iced coffee features Starbucks Cold Brew topped with marshmallow-flavored cold foam, chocolate drizzle, and a sprinkle of graham cracker topping for a dessert-inspired twist.
Also joining the lineup is the Iced S'mores Chai, which blends spiced chai tea with milk chocolate sauce, toasted marshmallow flavors and graham cracker notes.
I’m excited to indulge in these S’mores treats this 4th of July weekend. There’s no better time to enjoy a summery drink than while celebrating outside with your friends and family.
The S'mores Frappuccino, S'mores Cold Brew with Marshmallow Cold Foam, and Iced S'mores Chai will all be available for a limited time while supplies last. Since Starbucks hasn’t shared a specific date for when they’ll stop selling them, I wouldn’t wait too long.
