It’s officially September, so spooky season is here—right? If you’re eager to decorate for Halloween but don’t want to go full haunted house, a fall garland is an easy place to start. Picture moody maple leaves draped across a mantel, glowy orange string lights wrapped around a staircase, or friendly felt ghosts hanging from a doorway. Better yet, all of these picks are from Amazon, so you can get your spooky-season decorating underway in just a few clicks.
Garlands require minimal effort to hang—I recommend zip ties or twine for the staircase, but tiny hooks for the mantel and doorways. With some of the lighter options (cue the macrame ghost garland and Happy Halloween banner), you may be able to get away with using tape.
