As the “Queen of Halloween,” Heidi Klum is known for her annual Halloween party. She invites Hollywood's biggest names, and they all arrive dressed to the nines. But perhaps the most anticipated person on the guest list is the supermodel herself!
Since she began the tradition in 2000, Heidi’s costumes have grown increasingly bold. This year, she even showed up as a severed hand. But we also have to look at the spooky Halloween looks she’s worn over the years. Keep scrolling and pick your favorite.
2026: A Severed Left Hand
Heidi took her costume to a whole new level this year, and attended her party as a grotesque severed hand.
The costume featured a sentimental nod to Heidi’s husband, Tom Kaulitz, with a recreation of her engagement ring. “TALK TO THE HAND ✋,” she teased on Instagram. “#HeidiHalloween 2026 HERE WE GO.”
2025: Medusa
For 2025, Heidi showed up to her annual party in a petrifying costume. She dressed up as as the Greek mythology creature Medusa. The look included animatronic snakes, which slithered in her hair. And of course, her husband was there to help her complete it as a petrified warrior.
2024: E.T. Phone Home!
As Heidi teased fans all day with what was in the works for her costume, she stunned everyone by dressing up as a female version of E.T. Even her husband got into the theme of it, portraying the alien who loves Reese's Pieces and wants to phone home. And as Heidi explained on Instagram, she chose the costume because "E.T. introduced me to the idea that there’s life outside planet earth."
2023: Giant Peacock Halloween Costume
After giving fans a sneak peek of her costume on Amazon Live earlier in the day, Heidi wowed everyone when she appeared as a giant peacock at her annual Halloween party. She even had a team that was dressed as her peacock tail!
2022: Worm Halloween Costume
Heidi Klum walked down, or rather, "inched down" the blue carpet as a worm, alongside Tom, who dressed as a bloody fisherman.
2021: Zombie Halloween
After canceling her annual Halloween party for the second time in a row, Heidi paid homage to some of her favorite horror movies with a short film.
After crawling out of her grave, she resumes her life as a mom with her kids; except this time she turns into a zombie.
2020: Toilet Paper Mummies
Heidi's children—Leni, Henry, Johan, and Lou—got head-to-toe zombie-mummy makeovers for a short film.
“We had so much fun shooting this together,” Heidi told Vogue. “My kids learned so much in these two days of filming about how some tricks work, how to move and act like mummies, how to remember their lines and cues.”
2019: Flesh-Eating Alien
The supermodel partnered up with Tom for this gory, out-of-this-world look. Her entire costume came together with 10 hours of prosthetics and makeup, which she shared during her Amazon livestream.
2019: A Firework
For her first costume of the season, the model transformed herself into a firework, complete with a glittery face and green hair. She was joined by her husband in a matching ensemble.
2018: Fiona from "Shrek"
After Heidi gave fans a sneak peek at her costume on Instagram, many thought she was going to be George Washington or Gungan from Star Wars. But the beauty won Halloween by dressing as Fiona from the movie Shrek. Tom completely nailed his own Shrek look.
2017: Michael Jackson's "Thriller"
You can't celebrate Halloween without busting out a "Thriller" dance. Heidi brought the 1982 music video to the streets of New York City in this nearly-identical Michael Jackson outfit.
2016: Heidi Klum
You know you're a big deal when you dress as yourself for Halloween (yes, really). Heidi arrived at her 2016 party in her Victoria's Secret best with an army of lookalikes.
2015: Jessica Rabbit
Va-va-voom. Inspired by the leading lady in Who Framed Roger Rabbit?, Heidi enhanced her figure with prosthetics, bold makeup and a curve-hugging red dress.
2014: Butterfly
Um, did we just take a trip to Cirque de Soleil?! Heidi waltzed through the streets of New York City in this bold and beautiful butterfly costume, massive wingspan included.
2013: Old Lady
The details on this Granny costume are everything. Heidi used makeup and prosthetics to age her skin with varicose veins and wrinkles.
2012: Cleopatra
Now there's the Heidi we know and love! She let her natural beauty shine in this dramatic Cleopatra costume, complete with a gilded gold headdress.
2011: Human Body
Talk about commitment. At Heid’s first Halloween party of 2011, she dressed as "the Visible Women" and had men dressed as surgeons wheel her out on a gurney.
2011: Ape
A few days later, Heidi and her then-husband Seal did a complete 180 in this head-to-toe hairy costume. They leaned on prosthetics for a life-like ape look.
2010: Robot
Kudos to Heidi for walking down an entire red carpet on stilts and for covering her entire body in purple latex.
2009: Crow
What's better than one crow? A whole murder of 'em! Seal matched his then-wife in this intricate, feathered costume. To no one's surprise, Heidi admitted that the beak and wings made dancing, drinking and eating nearly impossible.
