Isabella Cavallo, commerce editor for the GH Institute, owned this blanket hoodie for a few years in and after college. "The Comfy kept me so warm and—you guessed it— comfy while studying in my dorm, study rooms, and the library (I had no shame wearing it in public. To truly attest to its warmth and coziness, I stood outside in this blanket hoodie for a few hours on the side of the road after getting rear-ended in a snowstorm, and I wasn't even cold!" However, Cavallo noted that it was easier to wash and maintain The Comfy while living in her dorms, which had large washing and drying machines. "My washer and dryer at home are quite small, and The Comfy was a bit too big to be cleaned in those machines," she said.
Cavallo also appreciated the length, which hit right around her knees, and the overall design, which made it possible to walk, work on a computer, and carry a backpack while wearing it. For taller folks or those who want more leg coverage, the brand also makes a longer version (and one for kids). It's also reversible, so you can rock the sherpa side or the silky velour fleece exterior, which Cavallo said is "super soft." This wireless design features four levels of heat and up to four hours of battery life, so you can spend a few hours sitting in your favorite spot, regardless of whether you're near an outlet or not. And while it's a bit more of a robe or jacket than a hoodie, it does have a hood to keep your head warm when it's especially cold.
Our testers especially loved the soft, plush microfiber cover of the blanket, and we expect this on-the-go blanket's interior to be similar. "This is really nice for those cold football nights. It gets really warm and it’s super soft," said one online reviewer on Walmart. While some online reviewers said it took about 10 minutes to heat up, others said it's easy to accidentally turn on and off if you bump into the power button, so be sure to disconnect the power bank when it's not in use.
