- Checkerboard-style home items that mimic MacKenzie-Childs’ signature look are going viral.
- Hobby Lobby recently came out with a cutting board that fans of the brand are calling the perfect dupe.
- It’s currently available online and in-store for just $14.
Fans of home goods designer MacKenzie-Childs know that most items sold by the brand will cost you a pretty penny. But shoppers across social media have proven that it is possible to get the look for less.
In a recent post from TikTok creator @jeanaschuler, a checker pattern lookalike cutting board was uncovered in the aisles of Hobby Lobby. “Okay I’ve seen this gorgeous MacKenzie-Childs cutting board all over & I found a nearly identical one at Hobby Lobby for a fraction of the price!!,” she captioned the video.
The Checkered Acacia Wood Cutting Board comes in two sizes (small for $13.99 and large for $16.99) and features a glossy woodgrain finish and checkered print, though the checks appear more rectangular in shape than square. A similar MacKenzie-Childs cutting board is sold for nearly $200. Commenters were quick to share their excitement.
“Oh so cute! Might need to run to get it 🤪,” one person commented. “That is perfection!,” another added. “How much ?! 😍,” a third person said.
Currently the cutting boards appear to be available in store and online at Hobby Lobby. However, if you prefer the square checker look, we pulled together some similar styles from Amazon below.
